For starters, I moved to Huntsville, AL, aka Rocket City, and started taking engineering classes. I have another year left so I have almost made it! I have been involved with numerous clubs on campus but didn't nearly take much of it seriously except for one... I have to thank my lucky stars I am currently the president of a local student chapter for aerospace engineers and I have my own office. Shuper-schweet? I had a few intern stints that were pretty cool. Did you know Rolls Royce makes jet engines? Cause they totally do. And they test them at their rocket testing facility in Mississippi's buffer zone... at least I'm pretty sure I am able to say that publicly. Moving on.
I am getting interested in military radars and UAV's. Hopefully when I graduate I will be able to do either. Or both. Or send satellites to comets and asteroids. Cause uh, I believe exploring space is gosh darn cool and worth the investment.
Oh, I started to learn how to play piano and synthesizers. I joined a band. We're called The Flying Dutchmen... mmmhhmmmshamelessplugwouldbeinsertedhere butifyoureallyareinterestedyoucangoogleu sp.s.weareNOTbasedinflorida. We will be recording a demo sometime soon. And possibly a tour up and down I-65 summer 2010. I will be the one wearing a mask, of sorts. Think TMNT. Actually, it is more precisely TMNT.
So long story, I know, but in conclusion I have not been taking art, or at least the art of drawing and illustration, seriously since... whenever ago. I will occasionally doodle a fighter jet taking off from a freighter or one of my professors babbling "ok? ok? ok?" but nothing much really. Between engineering school and the band I am pretty busy.
Also, I officially upgraded in the automobile department. Blue Bertha, the '97 Taurus with 170k+ miles on it, got wrecked and insurance helped me snag a '91 burgundy Buick Skylark with white wall tires (don't hate, they're a bitchin!), red cloth interior, wood grain dash and a cassette player (whoo party!). I would post pictures, but I do not have access to a camera. But hey, maybe I'll post some when I log in three years from now...
Peace and Love,
JC

"The Devil made me do it." I never made one of them do anything. They live their own tiny lives. I do not live their lives for them. -Lucifer
